A manual pencil sharpener, purchased in desperation during drawing class.
Found: In my desk drawer. Definitely not in my pencil case.
Made of: red plastic, clear plastic, steel, graphite shavings, broken nibs, chagrin.
Uses: Sharpening pencils when no other sharpener is available. Shredding wood, destroying tips. Exercising futility.
Cost: circa $.95, plus frustration.
Decision: Conflicted. Augment landfill, or pass on to a less pencil-sharpener-having person?
