black foam board

A sheet of black foam core board.

Size: 30″ x 40″.

Found: behind my bedside table, one of five or six places I’ve tried keeping it so it doesn’t get dinged.

Dings: many.

Uses: photographic backdrop*, base for paper models* (as yet unbuilt), endless other projects*, daily ingenuity test (i.e., where should this live today?), frustration generator** (“why are these corners dented? ugh!”).

Decision: trash it, knowing full well it’s a pile of styrofoam headed straight to a landfill. buy something biodegradable next time.

*uses contingent on fewer dings.
**increasingly my primary use.
